Festivals are over and its time to get back to healthy eating. While there are so many healthy recipes, here is one recipe which I can suggest to remove all gastric and tummy issues!!!! . Today’s post is about “Vepampoo Podi" or Neem Flowers Powder

Vepampoo Podi or Neem Flowers Powder is made from roasted cumin seeds, urad dhal, chili & neem flowers. A small cup of vepampoo podi rice in your diet would do wonders.

Neem has a lot of health benefits and I am very particular in including it in my diet regularly. Being in a place where neem tree or its products are not easy to get on a daily basis, I prefer to use more of neem flowers as they stay for longer time.  We get them in Little India market, however it is not possible to go there every day.

I generally make Vepampoo Podi in batches and will finish within a week. Beyond a week the spiciness in the podi reduces. When you are adding in rice for kids, make sure to add a dollop of ghee!!
