Oats Milk
This post is about a simple recipe “Oats Milk”. I will be publishing lot of recipes using
Oats Milk hence I wanted to post it separately. Oats & water are combined
and blended without any chunks. The mix is then filtered using a muslin cloth
to get “Oats Milk”
Oats have so much of health benefits and some of them are
lowering cholesterol levels , sugar levels etc. There are so many articles
about this in when you google, hence I am skipping them here. Some of them do
not like to eats oats as it is, however there are so many alternative ways to
consume this healthy dish. I shall be adding them soon.
Oats milk can be prepared in advance and kept in fridge. It
can stay for 3 days. I have not tried beyond 3 days. It is quite easy to
prepare and very handy during morning rush time.
Oats Milk
Preparation Time –5
Yields – 1.5 cups |
Equipment : Mixie
Ingredients
Oats – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups

Measurements
1 tsp = 5ml
1 tblsp – 15 ml
1 cup = 237 ml

Preparation

1. Take
a mixer and add oats and water.
2. Blend
well until there are not pieces of oats are left and they become a smooth
texture.
3. Take
thin muslin cloth or cotton cloth and pour the mix.
4. Squeeze
well. You must not have more than 2 or 3 tsp of oats in the cloth.
Oats milk is ready.

Notes

Do not throw the left over oats, use them in chapathi
or dosa batter

The measurements are specified for instant oats.
If you are using hard oats add another ½ cup of water.
